25 K-Pop Idols Making Their Long-Awaited Military Discharge In 2023, And The 3 Groups That Will Complete Their Service Time

One of the most difficult parts of being a K-Pop fan, especially if you like boy groups, is waiting for male idols to complete their military enlistments. They seem like they can last forever sometimes, even though the typical wait period is really only 18 months! In the next year, there are dozens of K-Pop idols who will be discharged from their enlistment who fans have long been waiting to return to the industry. Here are the 25 male idols set to complete their time in the military in 2023, as well as the 3 K-Pop groups who will have all of their members complete their enlistment period in the next year!

1. Seungwoo (VICTON)

Seungwoo started his military enlistment on July 27, 2021, and will complete his service in 23 days on January 27, 2023.

2. Baekhyun (EXO)

Baekhyun started his military enlistment on May 6, 2021, and will complete his service in 32 days on February 5, 2023.

3. Taemin (SHINee)

Taemin started his military enlistment on May 31, 2021, and will complete his service in 90 days on April 4, 2023.

4. Young K (DAY6)

Young K started his military enlistment on October 12, 2021, and will complete his service in 97 days on April 11, 2023.

5. Shownu (MONSTA X)

Shownu started his military enlistment on July 22, 2021, and will complete his service in 107 days on April 21, 2023.

6. Wow (A.C.E.)

Wow started his military enlistment on September 10, 2021, and will complete his service in 156 days on June 9, 2023.

23. Hongseok (PENTAGON)

Hongseok started his military enlistment on May 3, 2022, and will complete his service in 303 days on November 3, 2023.

24. MJ (ASTRO)

MJ started his military enlistment on May 9, 2022, and will complete his service in 308 days on November 8, 2023.

25. Wonpil (DAY6)

Wonpil started his military enlistment on March 28, 2022, and will complete his service in 327 days on November 27, 2023.

Here are the three K-Pop groups that will have had all of their members complete their military service by the end of 2023!

1. SHINee

With Taemin completing his military enlistment in April, all four of SHINee’s members will have finished their time! Onew completed his in July 2020, Key was discharged in September 2020, and Minho was finished with his enlistment in November 2020.

2. DAY6

Young K, Dowoon, and Wonpil will all complete their military service this year, and since Sungjin was already discharged back in September 2022, the four members of the group will have all done their time in the military at the end of this year.

3. ONF

All five of ONF’s Korean members enlisted at nearly the same time, and because of it, they will all be discharged in June this year! Their sixth member, U, is exempt from enlisting since he’s Japanese and not a Korean citizen.
