K-Pop idols are backed by some of the most loyal fanbases in the world. K-Pop fandoms are full of loyal fans that are willing to support their idols no matter what, in every shape or form possible. While this must be a unique feeling for many, some idols have the even more special experience of having multiple fellow idols be among these loyal fans.

Fans call them “idols of idols,” a pretty exclusive list made up of K-Pop stars that are adored by countless other idols. Many times younger idols even share these stars inspired them to debut or got them into the K-Pop industry. This influence can only be had by a select few, here are seven who fans think top the list.

BoA’s influence in the industry cannot be underestimated. Among countless idol fans she has, SHINee‘s KEY, Red Velvet‘s Irene and MAMAMOO‘s Solar seem to be the most loyal ones.

2. IU

Is there a single idol out there who hasn’t shared their admiration for IU?  Though the Korean superstar has many idol fans, no one seems to come close to the love BTS‘s Jungkook and TWICE‘s Nayeon have for her.

3. BTS

BTS’s story of success has and continues to inspire many young idols, from those that have already known success to those that are just making their debut. Newjeans‘ Hyein, LE SSERAFIM‘s Yunjin, and IVE‘s Yujin are only a few of them.

4. Girls’ Generation Taeyeon

The Girls’ Generation singer has known fame and popularity pretty much her whole career, as part of the group but also as a solo artist. It may be her resilience and longevity in the industry that’s made idols such as Red Velvet, AOA‘s Seolhyun, and BLACKPINK‘s Jisoo huge fans of her.

Taemin is among those that will always get mentioned when a young K-Pop idol lists their inspirations in the industry. His career as part of SHINee and as a successful soloist has had such an impact idols like TXT‘s Taehyun, NCT‘s Haechan, and former I.O.I member Somi mention him among their favorite seniors.

6. BIGBANG’s G-Dragon

G-Dragon’s impact on the industry has been clear for everyone to see for years now. From fashion to rapping and songwriting, the BIGBANG star has never been scared to try new things. Perhaps that is why he enjoys a huge roster of idol fans, with stars like IU,  BTS‘s Jungkook, and ZICO part of it.

7. BLACKPINK

All four members of BLACKPINK serve as role models for many, especially younger female idols that recently joined the industry. The girls’ popularity, success, incredible visuals, and talent are only some of the reasons why they’re admired by the likes of LE SSERAFIM’s Kazuha, Stray Kids‘ Bangchan, and MOMOLAND‘s JooE.
