The Top 40 Most Searched Male Idols Worldwide In The 1st Half Of 2021
Which K-Pop stars are the public most interested in right now? Kpop Idol Charts on Twitter has compiled a mid-year chart of the top idols with the most Google searches across the world in 2021 so far, and these were the top 40 most-searched male K-Pop stars between January and June this year. First, let’s count down the top 20.
20. Taeyong (NCT)
NCT’s Taeyong ranked 20th among male idols and 31st overall with an index score of 46.1. This year, Taeyong opened his own SoundCloud account and released several demo singles, including two collaborations with labelmates.
19. Sehun (EXO)
EXO’s Sehun ranked 19th among male idols and 30th overall with an index score of 47.5. This year, Sehun will be playing a supporting role in SBS‘s Now, We Are Breaking Up and is expected to finally make his movie debut in the Chinese film Catman.
18. Lucas (NCT)
NCT’s Lucas ranked 18th among male idols and 29th overall with an index score of 47. This year, Lucas is continuing his worldwide domination by reprising his cast member role on the Chinese SBS Running Man spin-off, ZRTG‘s Keep Running.

SHINee’s Jonghyun ranked 15th among male idols and 24th overall with an index score of 55. Following the 3rd Shiny Arts Festival, Jonghyun also ranked 9th on the male idol brand reputation ranking for June 2021.

NCT’s Jaehyun ranked 14th among male idols and 22nd overall with an index score of 56. Jaehyun’s acting debut in KBS2‘s Dear. M is expected to be released later this year.

GOT7’s Jackson ranked 13th among male idols and 19th overall with an index score of 65. After leaving JYP Entertainment earlier this year, Jackson released his newest English single “LMLY” and debuted on U.S. late-night television.

G-Dragon ranked 9th among male idols and 14th overall with an index score of 100. Fans are hoping G-Dragon will make his long-awaited solo comeback sometime this year.

BTS’s J-Hope ranked 8th among male idols and 13th overall with an index score of 163.64. One of the many highlights of J-Hope’s year is his charity, donating ₩250 million KRW (about $222,000 USD) to various foundations this year alone.
