The Most Painfully Cringy “Bedroom” Scenes In K-Dramas And Movies

While there are many K-Dramas where the chemistry between two leads can create some pretty steamy moments. At the same time, some of these intended-to-be sexy scenes end up falling flat and leaving viewers cringing.

Here are some recent cringy moments that viewers DID have enough of.

1. A Killer Paradox

A Killer Paradox stars Choi Woo Shik as a college student who accidentally kills someone during a moment of anger.

The character attempts to have sex to rid himself of his guilt but is subjected to visions of the person he killed while the woman is on top of him. He is also fully clothed during sex, only making things more awkward feeling.

2. Parasite

The notorious couch sex scene in Parasite involved the Kim family unwillingly playing voyeurs to the rich Park couple, who pretended to be poor during the act.

Unlike some of the other sex scenes on this list, this one was totally intended to be uncomfortable, according to director Bong Joon Ho. 

3. The Worst Of Evil

The Worst Of Evil is set in the 1990s and follows undercover police investigators who infiltrate a criminal organization responsible for illegal drug trade between Korea, China, and Japan.

In one scene, Lee Hae Ryeon, a Korean Chinese drug distributor played byBIBI, forces kisses on undercover cop Park Jun Mo/Kwon Seung Ho, played by Ji Chang Wook. The over-the-top kiss and its non-consensual nature inspired many mixed reactions.

4. Marry My Husband

Marry My Husband is based on the webtoon of the same name about a sick woman who discovers her husband is cheating on her with her best friend and is killed before waking up ten years in the past.

Actress Park Min Young stars as the female lead, while Lee Yi Kyung plays her unfaithful husband.

In a scene set after the wife goes back in time, she is met by her future husband just out of the shower. From there he attempts to seduce her, and epically fails, creating one of the most cringeworthy bedroom scenes ever.

5. The Modelizer

While technically not a K-movie, The Modelizer stars 2PM’s Nichkhun as the male lead’s best friend.

During one scene in the movie, Nichkhun is involved in group sex between him, his friend, and two women. The scene shows the two men having a conversation while engaged in sex, something that came across as not-so-sexy.
