Here Is Where The 11 Runners-Up Of “Produce 101” Are Now
Though the 2016 survival show Produce 101 has been over for 6 years now, the girls that competed on the show have gone on to find success in different ways! While the 11 winners of the show went on to take part in I.O.I and, later, either joined other girl groups or became soloists, several of the runners-up on the show ended up with a pretty good following as well. Here is where all 11 of the runners-up from the second to the last episode of Produce 101 are now!
1. Han Hyeri
Hyeri represented Star Empire Entertainment when she was on Produce 101, where she ended up placing 12th overall. Though she just barely didn’t make it into I.O.I, she did receive a lot of offers to appear in commercials and even became a cosmetic spokesmodel for Delight18. In May of 2016, Star Empire Entertainment announced she would be debuting in the upcoming girl group OMZM.

Instead, however, she actually joined LOEN Entertainment‘s project group I.B.I in August 2016, though the group only released one single, “Molae Molae”. In 2017, she played the role of Yeri in the K-Drama The Idolmaster KR, and she also participated in MIXNINE that same year. She seems to have taken a step back from idol life since late 2017, though she has an active Instagram account with nearly 40k followers.
2. Lee Suhyun
Suhyun, now better-known as Luri, represented her label SS Entertainment on Produce 101, where she ended up placing 13th overall. After the show, she also went on to debut with I.B.I at LOEN Entertainment in 2016. In 2017, she became a co-host of Tooniverse’s Stress Out, and also played the role of Lee Ha Ra in the K-Drama Happy Talk that same year.

In 2019, she officially changed her stage name to Luri in preparation for a solo debut. She released one song, “Blah Blah”, featuring Bryn in November that year. She’s currently an artist under HG Entertainment, though she has been quiet recently. She’s also active on Instagram with nearly 60k followers.
3. Kim Nayoung
Nayoung represented Jellyfish Entertainment during her time on Produce 101, where she placed 14th overall. In June 2016, it was announced that she would be debuting with the upcoming girl group gugudan, and they debuted that month with the mini-album Act.1 The Little Mermaid. In November that year, she also joined Inkigayo‘s project girl group Sunny Girls.

In 2018, she debuted as a member of gugudan’s sub-unit SEMINA. In 2019, she appeared on the vocal survival show V-1, but she was sadly eliminated in the first round. The following year in December 2020, gugudan’s official disbandment was announced after four years together. She was relatively quiet until January 3, 2022, when she announced she had signed an exclusive contract with Goodman Story Entertainment, where she will be promoting as an actress! She is also on Instagram, where she has about 88k followers.
4. Kim Sohee
Sohee represented Music Works during her time on Produce 101, where she placed 15th overall. After the show concluded, she debuted as a member of the project girl group CIVA in July 2016, which was formed by the mockumentary show The God of Music 2. In 2017, she also joined the project girl group I.B.I for the short time they were together.

In May 2017, she participated as a cast member on the reality show Idol Drama Operation Team, and after the show was over in July, she and the other 6 cast members on the show performed as the temporary girl group Girls Next Door on Music Bank. In November that same year, she debuted as a soloist with the EP The Fillette and has also released some OSTs for K-Dramas. In 2019, she signed an exclusive contract with n.CH Entertainment and joined the girl group NATURE that same year. She’s also active on Instagram, where she has 171k followers!
5. Yoon Chaekyung
Chaekyung represented her label DSP Media during her time on Produce 101, where she placed 16th overall. She returned to the company after being on the show, and in July 2016, she was cast as a trainee on the mockumentary series The God of Music 2 which eventually formed the project group C.I.V.A. They released the song “Why” featuring Brown Eyed Girls’ Miryo.

She, too, joined LOEN Entertainment’s project group I.B.I in August 2016, and finally in November that year, she was announced to be joining APRIL after the departure of one of its members. She debuted with the group in January 2017 and remained a member with them until they disbanded on January 28, 2022. She’s also active on Instagram, where she has 150k followers!
6. Lee Haein
Haein represented SS Entertainment during her time on Produce 101, where she placed 17th overall. After the show, she was another former contestant to join the project group I.B.I under LOEN Entertainment in August 2016, and in 2017, she appeared as a contestant on the girl group competition show, Idol School.

Unfortunately, she revealed that she had signed a trainee contract with CJ ENM, one of the companies behind the show, who ended up not keeping their side of the contract which led to her terminating it in February 2019. She joined The Groove Company in 2020, where she ended up debuting as a soloist in November that same year with the digital single album Santa Lullaby (We Used To Sing). She’s also active on Instagram, where she has 106k followers!
7. Park Soyeon
Soyeon represented LOEN Entertainment during her time on Produce 101, where she placed 18th overall. In June 2017, it was announced that she would be debuting in the company’s upcoming girl group, LOEN Girls (now known as Weeekly); however, in September 2018, she announced that she had left the company after terminating her contract.

In October 2019, she started a YouTube channel, 소연이랑 With SoYeon, where she has posted various dances and other content. In November 2020, she debuted as a solo artist under Gachi Entertainment with the single “Flower.” She’s also active on Instagram, where she has 6.6k followers!
8. Ki Huihyeon
Huihyeon represented MBK Entertainment during her time on Produce 101, where she placed 19th overall. Prior to her time on the show, she actually debuted as the main rapper of the group DIA, which she returned to after the show was completed, and later ended up as leader of the group as well.

In September 2019, she participated in the survival show V-1, though unfortunately she was not chosen as one of the finalists. That same year, she also was cast in the K-Drama Fashionista (패셔니스타). She’s currently active with DIA and also on Instagram, where she has 201k followers!
9. Jeon Soyeon
Soyeon represented Cube Entertainment during her time on Produce 101, where she placed 20th overall. Arguably the most well-known among the runners-up on the show, she then participated in the third season of Unpretty Rapstar in July 2016 and became the second runner-up of the show. Afterward, Soyeon returned to Cube Entertainment and then debuted first as a soloist in November 2017, and then as the leader of (G)I-DLE in May 2018.

Her career, of course, has taken off since then with the success of (G)I-DLE. Later in 2018, she was chosen to participate in the virtual girl group K/DA for the video game League of Legends, representing the character Akali. In June 2021, she debuted officially as a solo artist with the EP Windy, and she won her first music show award on The Show in July that year. She’s also active on Instagram, where she has 1.4 million followers!
10. Jung Eunwoo
Eunwoo represented Pledis Entertainment during her time on Produce 101, where she placed 21st overall. She returned to the label after the show was over and, in March 2017, debuted in the girl group PRISTIN. In early 2018, she also joined the group’s sub-unit PRISTIN V with their first (and only) single, “Get It”. Sadly, however, in May 2019, the disbandment of PRISTIN was announced and Eunwoo terminated her contract with Pledis Entertainment.

In October 2019, it was announced that she and other former PRISTIN members had signed a contract with OSR Entertainment, and in November, they debuted as the five-member group HINAPIA. Sadly, however, they also disbanded less than a year later in August 2020 due to difficulties with the COVID-19 pandemic. In August 2021, she released a photo album with Feelstage, and she’s also active on Instagram, where she has 82k followers!
11. Kang Sira
Sira represented Chungchun Music during her time on Produce 101, where she placed 22nd overall. She returned to her label once the show was over, and debuted as a soloist under them in January 2017 with the mini-album Sira.

She has several videos on YouTube of her covering different songs, but she hasn’t posted on it in about a year and has been relatively quiet for a while. She is active on Instagram, though, where she has 18k followers!
