The Cast Of Netflix’s “Squid Game” Win Big At The 2022 Screen Actors Guild Awards—Here Are All The Details
The Squid Game cast won big in the 28th Screen Actors Guild Awards! The top-watched Netflix K-Drama was nominated in several categories in the prestigious award show: Female Actor in a Drama Series, Male Actor in a Drama Series, Stunt Ensemble in a TV Series, and Drama Ensemble. Though they did not win the last one, they took home the other three awards.

1. Female Actor in a Drama Series
First up, actress Jung Ho Yeon won best “Female Actor in a Drama Series” against several big names such as Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon.
She played Kang Sae Byeok (Player 067) in Squid Game, a North Korean defector who joined the deathly games to earn money to rescue her parents and build a peaceful life in South Korea.
During her SAGA speech, she expressed her shock and gratitude for winning.
First of all, thank you so much. I have sat many times watching you on the big screen, dreaming of one day becoming an actor. I just wanted to say, ‘Thank you so much.’ Thank you [for making] me dream and opening the door for me. And I love you, my Squid Game crew!

Next up, Lee Jung Jae, the protagonist of Squid Game, was named the best “Male Actor in a Drama Series.”
He took on the role of Song Gi Hun, a divorced gambling addict who participated in the games to settle his debts and become financially stable.
He thanked his fellow cast members, the Screen Actors Guild Awards, and the fans of Squid Game for their support.
