5+ Times K-Pop Idols Have Been Caught Dating Fans

Each had their career changed.

Though dating is normal, K-Pop idols and other celebrities often face scrutiny for being involved in relationships. The criticism often increases when they are caught dating fans of their group, though this is not always true.

Here are x times K-Pop idols were allegedly caught dating fans.

1. Ex-N.Flying’s Kwangjin

Kwangjin originally debuted as a member of CNBLUE in 2009 but re-debuted as a member of N.Flying in 2013 after meeting the other members.

In December 2018, fans of the group began boycotting due to allegations that Kwangjin had sexually assaulted fans, dated fansite masters after seducing them, and more.

“Since his debut, he dated fans by seducing them, sexually assaulted them, badmouthed his members and company to fans, and said things like ‘I don’t want to be a singer, I’d rather just go to the army,’ or ‘The base is convenient because I only need to move my fingers around.’ The worst thing was when he said, ‘There are other girls who are meant to go to the brothels,’ to a fan. A public figure using a word that the average person doesn’t even use to a fan?”

Ultimately, Kwangjin left the group because of the allegations, and it wasn’t until many years later—after he married the fan he was dating at the time—that he revealed the truth behind the allegations.

She claimed that he tricked her into spending money on him and going back on his word.

He gaslit me by saying that there was no one else who was able to understand him… Everytime, he only came to the hotel, ate room service, slept, and left. The moment we checked out, he cut off contact and drew the line with me by saying it was uncomfortable. Without a single thanks, he acted as if it was a given that I should pay.

Over two years after the original allegations, it was announced that Lucas was no longer a member of NCT, and the idol has since re-debuted as a solo artist.

3. Ex-Romeo’s Milo

Romeo debuted in 2015, with many regarding them as a little brother to INFINITE due to their dance synchrony.

However, in 2018, Milo was exposed by a minor fan who shared screenshots of their conversations. In them Milo was alleged to have invited the fan to his hotel room for sex among other things.

Milo ultimately made an apology before beginning his military enlistment.

4. UP10TION‘s Hwanghee
