5 Times K-Pop Idols Saved Fans From Sh*tty Relationships

Breaking up over K-Pop really happens!

Surprisingly, being a fan of K-Pop can be a deal breaker when it comes to relationships, even the average person who “stans” a normal amount. In the case of the following fans, K-Pop idols actually saved them from bad relationships!

1. TXT’s Yeonjun

Recently, online influencer and fashion brand CEO Cho Young Min posted a story revealing his reason for breaking up with his girlfriend. The Instagram revealed a conversation with his now ex-girlfriend, who sent a video of TXT’s Yeonjun with the message, “Yeonjun, I love you.”

I’m a pure guy. I don’t need a girl who says ‘I love you’ easily to other guys. I want to do only sincere love, someone I can put my all into.

Netizens were left in disbelief that this happened in real life, saying that “Yeonjun has saved yet another girl.”

2. SHINee’s Minho

In a post on the subreddit Am I The *sshole, a man expressed his feelings about his perfect wife, whose only flaw was her love of SHINee‘s Minho. He shared that they went to a concert, and when SHINee performed “Body Rhythm,” his wife, understandably, was “foaming at the mouth and screaming.”

At this point, he asked if she loved Minho more than him, and she said yes.

In a happier ending than most, the woman expressed her feelings about SHINee, which led to the man’s better understanding and becoming a better partner because of it. He even admitted in an update that “sometimes it’s okay to be second to Choi Minho.”

3. B.A.P’s Yongguk

In a post on the subreddit Am I The *sshole a man expressed his distaste for his fiancé’s tattoo, the red matoki representing B.A.P‘s Yongguk.

The man stated that he hated that she had “branded” herself for another man, called her interest in K-Pop “childish,” and demanded that she remove it. His fiancé reacted as expected and seemingly began the process of ending the relationship!

Yongguk’s groupmate, Zelo, even chimed in with his thoughts on the situation!

4. BTS

The YouTube channel PIXED has a series called “Slide To Unlock Dating Mode.” In these episodes, a contestant will go through the phone of potential dates to find their “ideal” choice. During the first episode, the male contestant noticed that one of the women was a BTS fan based on her Weverse notifications.

He revealed that he had previously dated a “stan” and that it “wasn’t easy,” resulting in him eliminating the woman.  Some called him out for his hypocritical way of thinking, as he had previously shared that he was a big fan of a sports team.

5. Stray Kids

In the same episode of the dating program as above, the male contestant discovered that one of the women he previously had appreciated for sharing interests was beginning to be a fan of Stray Kids.
