3 Times TWICE “Spilled The Tea” On JYP Entertainment
The TWICE members can be quite honest, and there have been moments where they “spilled the tea” on their agency, JYP Entertainment! Here are 3 of these moments.
1. Importance of foreign languages
During TWICE’s guest appearance on SBS‘s Legendary Stage, the members were asked if the foreign members took any special classes when they were trainees. Sana shared that she and Momo took Korean classes for 3 years.
Momo and I took Korean classes for around 3 years. When I first came to Korea, I couldn’t speak a word of Korean. Momo and I just said hello whenever people passed by.
— Sana
When asked if the Korean members took foreign classes, Jihyo gave an honest answer!
When I was in middle school, JYP made me get a certification for Chinese.
— Jihyo
Nayeon then added that being certified in foreign languages was a must if they wanted to debut!
If we didn’t get certified in foreign languages, we couldn’t debut.
— Nayeon
2. Interesting classes they took when they were trainees
In an episode of MBC‘s Radio Star, MC Kim Gu Ra asked Jihyo, “Has there been any classes that you took at JYP that you just didn’t understand?” Jihyo shared that all trainees took sex education classes! When Jihyo took these classes, she was quite young and would think to herself, “It is a class that is needed but to learn this at the agency…?”
Another class they took was IT education so that they could learn to protect their personal information!
3. Their schedule when they were trainees
TWICE once shared what their schedule was like as trainees, and it was quite hectic! Their day would begin at 9 AM, where they would clock into the company, leave their phones, and check their weights.
At 10 AM, they would stretch.
Lunchtime would be at 12 PM.
Vocal lessons would begin at 1 PM.
The members would then do individual training at 3 PM.
At 6 PM, they would have dinner.
Dance lessons would be at 7 PM.
At 9 PM, they would learn basic JYP Entertainment choreography.
At 10 PM, it would be time to clean up, check their weights, then go home.
From 11 PM-9 AM, it would be time to “worry about the future!”
