Here’s 5 Movies Or Shows To Watch On Netflix, According To TXT’s Soobin
We all know TXT‘s Soobin is a big fan of movies, TV shows, and K-Dramas, such as Penthouse – which, by the way, he’s not caught up on yet, so refrain from spoilers when talking to him.
Soobin recently held a live broadcast and revealed that he has been watching many movies and TV shows on Netflix. Of course, it’s the case that not everything is that good of a watch. He said that, personally, he did not enjoy The Queen’s Gambit or The End Of The F***ing World despite wearing a T-shirt with the logo during The Chaos Chapter: FREEZE trailer. Thus, Soobin recommended a few of his current favorites.
Here are 5 movies or series to watch on Netflix, according to Soobin… (FYI, Netflix’s catalog differs by region.)
1. Parasite
Soobin said that he had recently watched Bong Joon Ho‘s black-comedy Parasite. This film made history at the 2020 Academy Awards by becoming the first Korean film to win an Oscar and the first foreign-language film ever to win “Best Picture.” Parasite won four awards for “Best Picture,” “Best Director,” “Best Original Screenplay,” and “Best International Feature Film.”
Soobin then explained that most of the content he watches is R-rated because he likes the provocative storylines.
So most of the things that I watch on Netflix are R-rated. Because, I told you this before, I like the ones with provocative stories. …or cruel, or people fighting. And most of them are R-rated, and I like watching those.

2. The Good Place
Soobin’s first television show recommendation is the American fantasy comedy series produced by NBC, The Good Place.
It’s about the afterlife. In short, it’s about heaven and hell. So the good place is heaven and the bad place is hell. … So the people who belong to the top few perecent by living a good life can go to the good place… But the evil people who did really bad things and lied to people were located to the good place due to a system error…

Soobin said that at first, he thought the series was simply going to be a fun and “light story,” but it turned out to be so much more. He usually does not like shows with long extended storylines and would give up after two seasons, but he says he has enjoyed watching this show, despite having 5 seasons.
I thought it was going to be just a light-watching for me because it was fun. As I moved on to the series, it made me think about life. And it also changed how I think of my life. So, it was actually a turning point in my life. Some people might say that this TV series can’t be a turning point in your life, but it made me think a lot.

3. The 100
The next show that Soobin is currently enjoying is CW‘s The 100, an American post-apocalyptic science fiction drama.
This is about how the nuclear war broke out and people weren’t able to live on earth anymore. So, people are living on another planet and they are going through an oxygen shortage. So, they have to move some portion of people to another planet. So, they’re trying to see if they can go back to the Earth. And the people who are going to explore that are teenagers serving in prison, so juvenile offenders or teenagers who are innocent but were kept inside the prison because of no reason other than that they were just born. …The story itself is very interesting.

4. Money Heist
Soobin also recommends Netflix’s Spanish heist crime drama television series Money Heist. He says that he is slow to move to the next episode since he is watching so many shows.
Eight thieves take hostages and lock themselves in the Royal Mint of Spain as a criminal mastermind manipulates the police to carry out his plan.

5. What Happened to Monday
Soobin’s next movie recommendation is Netflix’s 2017 dystopian science-fiction action-thriller film What Happen to Monday (also known as Seven Sisters). He said that of all he has watched recently, this is the one he enjoyed the most.
Due to food shortage, people started making genetically modified food. And something bad happened there, so it didn’t just modify the food, but it also affected people. So people started giving birth to too many babies, so it got overpopulated, which led to shortage of water and food. The government declared one-child policy. So, if a family has more than one child, they would put the other into cryosleep.

One family, however, gives birth to septuplets, who then live secretly in the world, sharing the identity of one person. Soobin also commended the actress Noomi Rapace for playing all parts so well.
After Soobin listed his Netflix recommendations, a viewer asked if he had seen any horror movies. Although he does not usually like this genre, he watched The Conjuring 3: The Devil Made Me Do It and Hush. After watching Jessi’s interview with Emma Stone on Showterview, he also watched Cruella. He also said that he would try Girl from Nowhere, Racket Boys, and Santa Clarita Diet.
