Not only did 2NE1’s music transform the style of K-pop, all of their songs also had empowering, strong messages behind them. Many of 2NE1 songs are about daily life struggles that anyone can relate to.

Common themes of their music include the pain of loneliness, break-ups, insecurities, and more! Through some of their other songs, they were able to remind us to stay strong and love ourselves even when life can get tough sometimes.

2NE1 changed the archetype of what K-Pop most girl groups style themselves after. Instead of having girly or cute image, 2NE1 went full badass. With just four girls, 2NE1 were always capable of getting stadiums pumped up with their music.

More than the love they received, 2NE1 has expressed their love for all of Blackjacks. To them, their fans are their source of strength and energy. They were one of the first K-pop idols to reach out to their fans on SNS. In fact, Dara even became 2NE1’s PR manager because of that. Not only do they keep an eye on their fans on social media, but Park Bom even gifted one of her fan clubs with fruit tarts, key holders, and paid meals before! Having gone through many difficulties to get to where they are now, 2NE1 remains humble and grateful to every single Blackjack.
