BIGBANG Seungri files lawsuit against female singer after being scammed out of billions of won
BIGBANG Seungri has allegedly become the victim of real estate fraud and has been scammed out of billions of won.
On January 4th, reports revealed that Seungri is officially accusing singer Shin Eun Sung for fraud after she allegedly scammed him out of 2 billion won. YG Entertainment has also responded to the reports, revealing, “Even though it is Seungri’s personal issue, we will be taking joint action with Seungri,” telling Ilgan Sports, “This is very regrettable. The agency will respond with join action on the issue. With the prosecution, we will reveal the facts.”
Shin Eun Sung is a female singer who initially debuted in 2003 with New Silver Star and her last album was released on October 2004 with Bye Bye. Reportedly, her agency went out of business as of last year, making the media unable to reach her for comment.
According to the prosecution, Shin Eun Sun disappeared with approximately 2 billion won, or $1.6 million USD. She approached Seungri in June 2014 with a real estate investment proposal and because he was acquainted with her, agreed to invest a large sum of money. In August, she approached him once again asking for an additional 50 million won, or approximately $42,000 USD, for a total of 2.05 billion won.
However, after not seeing the return in his investment, Seungri filed a lawsuit against the former singer on December 29, 2015 for scam and fraud.
