Mnet has announced the confirmed and finalized name of their upcoming girl group which will derived from 11-trainees from their show Produce 101.
According to broadcasters on April 1st, the girl group’s name has been chosen as ‘IOI‘ (eye-oh-eye) which represents the ‘101’ in Produce 101.
Produce 101 aired at the beginning of the year with 101 female trainees from 46 different agencies. Competing against one another, the final Top 11 which will create the girl group will soon be chosen in the final airing this Friday on April 1st. While their debut date has been pushed back to early May, scheduled appearances for the talented 11 has already been lined up, so expect to see them on broadcast soon!
