15&’s Baek Yerin Reveals She Has Left JYP Entertainment
15&’s Baek Yerin has announced she has left JYP Entertainment after 12 years with the company.
In her Instagram post announcing her leave, she revealed the last 12 years with the company were a great time for her.
Hello, it’s Baek Yerin!
The weather has suddenly become much cooler. How have you all been?
Unfortunately, on September 14, my contract with JYP Entertainment will end.
Ever since I was in elementary school, I have spent 12 years with JYP Entertainment and worked hard. I have received so many wonderful and precious opportunities, and I’ve been taught so much, it’s all been a gift, even though I am still lacking.

She continued by thanking Park JIn Young for everything he has done for her, and updated her fans on her future plans.
I would sincerely like to thank all of the staff at JYP, the president of JYP, who sometimes would be like a parent, sometimes like a teacher, or a guardian. You have worked so hard for me. And also Park Jin Young. We have decided now that we would be each other’s best friends.
I’m going to be starting my own independent label with the help of my friends around me. I feel regretful and sad since we spent so much time together, and it is scary to start something by myself. However, I want to gain strength and give you all a lot of good music!
I’ll be Yerin who shows a better image of myself in the future.
I’m always grateful for your love and support!
— Baek Yerin
Just last month, Park Jimin announced she would also be leaving JYP Entertainment, which means their shared group, 15&, is now essentially disbanded. 15&’s last music release was back in February 2015, more than 4.5 years ago.
