2019 Plans For 8 Entertainment Companies Including Big Hit, JYP, YG And More
With the year 2018 coming to an end, numerous entertainment companies have been preparing for the new year with various new plans for new albums, global promotions, new idol groups and more. Here are the 2019 plans for 8 entertainment companies according to OSEN:
YG Entertainment
YG artists will be expanding their promotions more globally. BLACKPINK will be touring the world starting from the major cities of Asia and are preparing to officially begin promotions in the United States after having signed with the Universal Music Group‘s Interscope Records.
WINNER will also be setting off on their American tour starting from January.
The final contestants of YG Treasure Box, who will be selected in mid-January, will begin preparations for their official debut.
Moreover, the BIGBANG members who are currently serving in the military will be discharged in 2019.
Finally, with the completion of YG Entertainment’s new building, they look forward to a new synergy between various division and department staff who will finally be working together in one space.
JYP Entertainment
TWICE has confirmed their Japan dome tour in 2019, becoming the fastest non-Japanese girl group to achieve a dome tour.
GOT7 is also expected to promote more actively next year following their Japanese arena performance at the end of this year.
JYP will also be launching a new girl group in early 2019 which will include MIXNINE’s Shin Ryujin.
Stray Kids is expected to continue active promotions domestically and abroad after having achieved album sales of 300,000 units as of October 2018.
Big Hit Entertainment
In 2019, Big Hit Entertainment will be presenting a new male idol group for the first time in 6 years. The goal is for the group to be launched early next year and details about the group are expected to be released as soon as they are confirmed.

Meanwhile, BTS will continue their “Love Yourself” dome tour in Japan and Asia tour.
And singer Lee Hyun will be released a new track and continue promotions through broadcasts, etc.
Pledis Entertainment
In 2019, Pledis Entertainment plans to provide their full support for the various promotions of their artists including NU’EST W, SEVENTEEN, PRISTIN and more. NU’EST W and SEVENTEEN will be continuing their group activities and performances, focusing on global promotions.
Raina and BUMZU will work on various individual promotions from albums to Youtube activities.
Plans for Hwang Minhyun once his promotions with Wanna One come to an end next year are still being discussed.
FNC Entertainment
FNC Entertainment will be launching a new idol group and focusing on SF9‘s growth in 2019. SF9, who is rapidly becoming more popular in Japan and Latin America, will continue their domestic/global promotions.
FNC’s first girl group in 6 years since AOA, Cherry Bullet, is also scheduled to make their official debut early next year.
Meanwhile, AOA will be promoting with a new album and FT ISLAND will also be focusing on promotions before they enlist in the army with Jung Yonghwa expected to be discharged in November.
Starship Entertainment
MONSTA X will be focusing on promotions for their new album in addition to their world tour.
Cosmic Girls is set to release a comeback album and continue their individual activities in acting, variety programs, soundtracks, etc. Boyfriend, K.will, Soyou and Jeong Sewoon will also continue active promotions.
Cube Entertainment
After BTOB’s Minhyuk and Changsub enlist in the military following the group’s leader, Eunkwang, the remaining members will focus on their individual activities including variety programs and acting.
CLC, PENTAGON and (G)I-DLE are expected to officially begin targeting the global market through U-CUBE, the label that was established by Cube Entertainment and Universal Music Japan.
Lai Kuanlin will officially begin his acting career after completing his promotions with Wanna One.
Mystic Entertainment
GAIN and ballad singer Park Jae Jung is preparing for a new album while Eddy Kim continues his promotions. New rookies from Mystic Entertainment are also expected to debut next year.
