2022 Presidential Candidate Lee Jae Myung Stabbed In The Neck

He has been transferred to the hospital.

2022 South Korean presidential candidate and former Governer of Gyeonggi Province Lee Jae Myung was stabbed in the neck by an individual.

While visiting a construction site in Gaedeokdo, Busan, a male individual approached Lee Jae Myung under the guise of wanting an autograph before stabbing him in the neck with an unidentified object. The video of the event is below and shows graphic content.

Following the stabbing, Lee Jae Myung’s staff immediately sprung into action, with some members putting pressure on his wound while others immediately restrained the attacker. Police then arrested the assailant on the scene and are investigating his motives for the attack.

It has been reported by KBS that Lee Jae Myung has a wound around 1cm on his neck. He was transferred to a hospital in the Seogu district of Busan around 10 minutes after the attack. He was conscious the entire time.
