After the nominations were shared, netizens noticed that the majority of the artists were from HYBE, claiming that this couldn’t be “serious,” and accused the company of buying their way into the awards.

Yet, netizens quickly hit back at the allegations against the HYBE artists.

On social media, fans shared that the criteria seem to fit the nominations as many HYBE acts have done well on the chart in 2024, along with sharing accomplishments from the idols. Others added that if HYBE could do “payola,” wouldn’t they do it for other awards, citing LE SSERAFIM’s recent omission from the 2024 MAMA Awards.
