Yet, netizens noticed that among the athletes representing the countries and their achievements, there was a lack of athletes from East Asia.

Netizens hit back at the fact that despite East Asian countries like China, Japan, and South Korea all finishing the Olympics in the top ten on the medal table, none of the athletes from these nations were included. In particular, many pointed out that the likes of Snoop Dog and Tom Cruise were on it, even though they weren’t even athletes who competed.

The recent Olympics has sparked huge debates about the treatment of certain athletes from other countries throughout the various events.
