“Treat Na PD Like A K-Pop Idol”: Na Yeong Seok’s Dancing Goes Viral 20 Years Later
Na Yeong Seok (also known as Na PD or PD Na) is a beloved television producer and director, best known for the popular variety shows 2 Days & 1 Night, New Journey to the West, Grandpas Over Flowers, Three Meals a Day, Youn’s Kitchen, Jinny’s Kitchen, and more.
He’s also worked with K-Pop groups, BTS and SEVENTEEN, on their variety shows Run BTS! and NANA TOUR, respectively. He also produced the HYBE version of The Game Caterers.
Recently, a tweet garnered attention, saying, “We should treat Na PD like a Kpop idol,” including a photo of him. It went viral with 1.5M views at the time of writing as netizens quote-tweeted and commented in such a way that they would typically do for their biases.

One response garnered 207.8K views. It was a clip from 2004 when Na PD produced Happy Sunday. In the segment, Heroine 5 with Jee Seokjin, 29-year-old Na PD danced to Toni Basil‘s “Mickey.”

Netizens were shocked to see the video. Some couldn’t ignore the fact that he was quite handsome, but they knew his “dance skills” would soon be the subject of teasing from SEVENTEEN.
