3rd Gen Group Shock By Announcing First Album In 7 Years

Fans are ready for new music!

Idol groups sometimes slow their releases for various reasons, such as not returning to activities for extended periods, if at all. Fans are often left hoping and waiting for their favorite idols to return, sometimes being shocked by the news of their reunion.

Recently, a third generation boy group surprised with news of their own return!

In October 2011, boy group MYNAME debuted under H2media. The beginning of the third generation of K-Pop groups most commonly is set as beginning in 2012, but MYNAME are usually grouped in.

The group built steady fanbases with releases in Korea and Japan, and made their last album release in 2018 as members began their military services. The group did not disband, and primarily continued promotions in Japan.

The five membered group recently released a digital single, titled “We Are The One,” which was performed at their Blooming Days concert on April 12.

During the concert, the group announced that they would be releasing a new mini album title VIVID on July 2, seven years after their last album release.

So far the group has stated that they will promote the album with a concert in Japan with no word on plans for Korean activities. Still, fans are thrilled to hear new music from the group!
