Over the last few months, fans have been waiting for GOT7‘s comeback activities to be announced.
In 2021, the members of GOT7 all left JYP Entertainment, choosing to seek opportunities elsewhere. However, the group did not disband, coming back together in 2022 to release GOT7 and hold a fan concert.
After this, the group focused on solo activities as Jay B and Jinyoung began their mandatory military service.
Beginning even before Jay B and Jinyoung completed their military service, the group often discussed potential comeback plans. This only increased after, as the members shared “spoilers” about the group’s 2025 plans, though not everyone has been entirely convinced they were truthful.

However, on December 19, GOT7’s official X account shared a new image of the group, the first group photo in nearly 3 years. The photo included their comeback date, the previously shared date of January 20, and featured the group looking handsome and serious.
The post of the image quickly went viral, earning over 3.1 million views in just five hours, along with over 92 thousand likes.
