Many feel she should be able to freely talk about her experiences.

Former MOMOLAND‘s Daisy recently came under fire for comments about K-Pop’s lies.

In a now-viral video shared on her TikTok, Daisy discussed some of the lies told within K-Pop, including some about signed items and live singing.

Another of her points was specifically about hiatuses and injuries. Daisy stated that companies would label something as a “personal” hiatus, like her own hiatus, rather than give actual details. The former idol also said that companies would sometimes lie about the reason for a hiatus, including lying about the extent of an injury.

On the other hand, she said that sometimes, health/injury hiatuses were not that at all and used to cover something else, using plastic surgery as an example.

And the same thing goes for injuries. The official statement may say it’s like a fractured arm or fractured leg. And then the idols show up with a cast, crutches, whatever it may be.  But sometimes, they’re completely fine, and they just got a new set of t*tties.

While there is nothing wrong with plastic surgery for those who are adults and choose to do so themselves, it is still viewed somewhat negatively. For some, Daisy’s statement, even if true in some cases, seemed to invite sexist criticism toward female idols.

On the other hand, many felt that Daisy should be able to speak about her experience, even the negative aspects as she experienced them herself.

The K-Pop industry definitely has secrets, but ultimately, it is up to individuals to decide react when faced with them.
