Oh My Girl’s Mimi is going viral among Korean netizens for her “perfect” styling this week — a 180-degree switch from recent comments criticizing her unique look.
Oh My Girl recently made their long-awaited group comeback with “Classified,” and fans are lauding the new release for throwing back to vibes from the group’s early hits like “Closer.” Many have praised the return of what they call Oh My Girl’s “church girl” aesthetic, and while all the members have been turning heads with their dreamy styling, Mimi’s outfits in particular have become a hot topic.
A post titled “Mimi’s styling that had fans going wild” has reached over 100,000 views on the Korean community site Pann, showing off two of Mimi’s looks on recent music shows. In a performance of “Classified” on MBC‘s Music Core, all the members looked ethereal in blue gowns. Mimi donned a classic princess-style flouncy dress with poofy sleeves, showing off her individual charms.
Her new look is fitting in well with the other Oh My Girl members’ looks, too. She’s giving off a Disney princess vibe.

Switching gears for a performance of the B-side “Start Up” on KBS Music Bank, Oh My Girl opted for cool hip-hop inspired styling, with Mimi rocking ripped blue jeans and a white cropped top. In both performances, her long, wavy hair was dazzling.
On Pann, the poster noted how Mimi has started wearing her hair down often at the request of fans, even asking Miracle (Oh My Girl’s fandom) if she could tie her hair back up after a pre-recording. “It seems like they really take fan feedback into consideration,” added the fan.

The praise comes after multiple viral Pann posts expressing mixed opinions and criticism towards Mimi’s recent styling. When one netizen applauded Mimi for staying firm to her likes and dislikes when wearing braids for a recent variety show appearance, responses were fierce.
Many complained that she didn’t match the “innocent” style of Oh My Girl, while others claimed it was inconsiderate not to forgo her personal style for group schedules. Similar comments were made about clips from Mimi’s appearance in clips from Dingo’s Killing Voice.
Now, however, netizens say Mimi has struck the perfect balance between her individual preferences and the styling for the rest of the group.
