4 Members Of LOONA Win Court Case To Suspend Contracts With BlockBerry Creative — 5 Lose
Four members of LOONA — Heejin, Kim Lip, Jinsoul, and Choerry — have won their court case to suspend their contracts with BlockBerry Creative, while five members lost.
According to an exclusive report from Seoul Kyungjae, Heejin, Kim Lip, Jinsoul, and Choerry all won their court case against BlockBerry Creative while Haseul, Yeojin, Yves, Olivia Hye, and Gowon lost theirs. This means that for the four members that won their case, the validity of their exclusive contract with BlockBerry Creative is now suspended, and they are able to conduct their own entertainment activities freely. The five members who lost their cases will remain artists under BlockBerry Creative.
Seoul Kyungjae noted that the four members whose contracts were suspended all had the same contractual conditions as Chuu, who was removed from LOONA in November 2022. Haseul, Yeojin, Yves, Olivia Hye, and Gowon all had some provisions in their contract changed sometime between one to two years ago, and the court did not see enough unfairness in the modified provisions to warrant a suspension of their contract.
When asked about the results of the injunction, an official from BlockBerry Creative simply stated that they are “looking into it.”
Back in November, it was reported the nine members of LOONA filed an injunction to suspend their contracts with BlockBerry Creative. Vivi and Hyunjin did not participate in the injunction.
