4th Generation Idol’s “Hot Mess” Hair Style Goes Viral

An important part of an idol’s visuals is their hair, as people usually notice this first.

Many idols have gained attention for making a big change to their hairstyle, like aespa‘s Karina, who went blond. XG’s Cocona also attracted attention for debuting her actually shaved head during a concert.

Idols with hair outside what is considered “normal” also attract attention, like 2NE1’s Dara and DXMON’s Jo, who have viral hair styling.

Recently, a fourth-generation idol went viral for their hair…but for all the wrong reasons.

The 2024 Gayo Daejeon Summer took place on July 21, with a large number of groups attending and performing special performances.

Included in the line-up was Cravity, who were recently revealed to be competing on Road To Kingdom 2. The group performed a special version of their release, “Love Or Die,” featuring the group in traditional outfits.

Some of the members, including Minhee, who currently has short brown hair, wore extensions as part of their styling.   While on stage, Minhee’s hairstyle gave the appearance of a two-tone dye job, accenting his handsome features.

After the performance, Minhee shared more photos of himself in this styling, giving a clearer look at his hair. While his visuals were just as handsome, his hair earned very different reactions.

The extensions added to his hair were unblended, with the clips visible through the back. The contrast between his actual hair and the blond extensions was even more apparent up-close.

The tweet featuring these images has since gone viral, with over 2.1 million views. Netizens have chimed in on the styling, generally expressing shock over the unblended extensions.
