Former 4th Generation Idol Responds To Comment About Being A “Flop Idol”
Former JWiiver‘s Ryujei, who is now known as Cherry, recently responded to an online comment that called her a flop idol.
Ryujei was once part of the group JWiiver, until they disbanded in 2023, just a mere year after their debut in February 2022.
Cherry does not regret her career, calling herself a success as she had achieved her dreams. Her dream was to debut, not to become famous.

Firstly, my dream was not to become a huge star like BIGBANG or NewJeans. My dream was to debut. To go on stage to sing, dance, and meet fans. I achieved my dream. Getting to debut was really hard too. It wasn’t easy. Even though I did not become a successful idol, I met many good people and fans while working, and lived my youth, my 20s really passionately. I spent my 20s without regret. But this person [who left the comment], I think that they have never put their whole heart into working hard for anything before. People who have worked hard like that will never judge someone’s life that easily. How can everyone succeed? There will be more cases of failure. Of course, there are cases of people who see success from the get-go, but many go through failure. I find happiness in that, and I think the feeling of achievement is more important. I think this person has not experienced that. I hope you can pour your heart into what you want to achieve, and experience how happy and fulfilled that is. It wasn’t a life where I earned a lot of money, but I had many special experiences most wouldn’t get to experience easily, and I received a lot of love. So I do not regret it at all. In conclusion, people can fail, and I could’ve been a flop idol, but what can I do? Things that aren’t meant to be, aren’t meant to be. I think it’s enough if I don’t regret it. Thanks for leaving a comment like this and remembering me at least. In the future, I’ll do better to be less of a flop. Hwaiting.
