5 K-Pop Idols Are Picked As The Dream Team To Compete In “Street Woman Fighter 2”
Girls’ Generation‘s Hyoyeon recently mentioned five of her K-Pop idol juniors with whom she would form a dance team for Street Woman Fighter 2.
On August 28, Hyoyeon was a guest on MBC FM4U‘s Kim Shin Young’s Hope Song At Noon, hosted by comedian Kim Shin Young. Hyoyeon, who recently released a new song called “Picture,” came to promote the album and talk about herself.
During the interview, DJ Kim Shin Young mentioned Mnet‘s Street Woman Fighter 2, which premiered on August 22. As Hyoyeon is known to be an incredible dancer and the main dancer for Girls’ Generation, Hyoyeon talked about her opinions of the show as a dancer. When asked if she watched the episode, Hyoyeon said she did, but she had a lot on her mind.
I watched it live. I’m not good at watching things like that. It feels like what they say is directed to me, and I imagine what I would say if I were in front of them.
— Hyoyeon
Kim Shin Young jokingly nominated Hyoyeon as an additional judge in Street Woman Fighter 2, referring to her reputation as a skilled and experienced dancer. In response, Hyoyeon admitted that her standards for dance have gotten higher.
I have high standards since I dance all types of genres now.
— Hyoyeon
She also admitted that she would have difficulty being a judge because she would have to speak coldly to people she knows well.
If I were sitting in Eunhyuk’s position in season 1, I wouldn’t be able to speak coldly because they are people that I know so well.
— Hyoyeon
Kim Shin Young also asked which K-Pop members she would want to recruit if she formed a dance team with them to compete in Street Woman Fighter 2. Hyoyeon mentioned the dancers who she thinks are recognizable in the K-Pop industry.
BLACKPINK’s Lisa, XG’s Cocona and Jurin, Chungha, and TWICE’s Momo… There are so many. Creating choreography is important, but I think they would be strong in battles.
— Hyoyeon
Chungha and Cocona are known to be powerful dancers, and Lisa, Jurin, and Momo are the main dancers of their respective groups.
What are your thoughts about these five talented dancers performing as one group?
