Aaron Yan’s Alleged Inappropriate Comments About TXT Resurface Amidst Recent #MeToo Accusations
It has been only two days since Taiwanese singer-actor Aaron Yan was accused by content creator Yao Le that he had raped him when he was a minor. After this shocking #MeToo revelation, Yan’s past social media posts have come under scrutiny.
Netizens have discovered that a verified Facebook account under Yan’s name had made inappropriate comments about the K-Pop boy group TXT last year under a picture posted by a fan account. The photo, taken during the group’s “LO$ER=LO♡ER” era, shows all five members standing side by side, with the group’s youngest, Huening Kai, in the center. The maknae was barely 19 years old in the picture.
The account under Aaron Yan’s name posted a comment under this photo, saying, “I want to take off the pants of the person standing in the middle.”
Many netizens were shocked to see the Taiwanese star’s account post something like this, and one comment even asked if this was the wrong account. But in response, Yan’s account dismissed it.
Netizen: Did you use the wrong account?
Aaron Yan: It’s a legitimate desire. I have to do it myself
When another netizen responded to Yan’s comment expressing disbelief that he said something like that about Huening Kai, the singer replied by asking if he should switch to Yeonjun instead.
Netizen: What are you trying to do to our Hueningkai?
Aaron Yan: Should I switch to the person on the right?
Though it is yet to be verified if the account really belongs to Aaron Yan or not, the post and Yan’s comments under it still remain public.
