Actor Go Kyung Pyo Exposes A Director For His Abusive Behavior
Actor Go Kyung Pyo recently shared one of his traumatic experiences as a rookie in the industry.
Go appeared as a special guest on the latest episode of BIGBANG Daesung’s YouTube show ZIP Daesung.
During the two’s conversation, Daesung asked the actor if he had ever cried after an audition, to which he responded saying he did. “I’ve cried because it went well, and I’ve cried because it didn’t go well,” he explained.
Recalling an instance where he cried due to a botched audition, Go Kyung Pyo exposed a rude director without naming them. He said that while he auditioned, the director had no reaction to him, but when he was trying to leave, the director made them stop. Calling the actor over with an informal tone, the director then asked if he would consider playing a corpse.
As a 20-year-old rookie, Go Kyung Pyo enthusiastically accepted the offer. When the director asked why, he replied, “I think I can learn a lot there.”
The director apparently didn’t take this sincere answer too well and started hurling insults. “I’m not someone who gives set experience. Get out,” he told Go.
After rejecting Go with such harshness, the director went a step further and even bet that he couldn’t be an actor.
Go Kyung Pyo recalled the hurtful moment, saying, “he didn’t have to say that.” But he immediately gave him the benefit of the doubt, adding that it was possible that the director was stressed that day and took it out on him.
Needless to say, we and thousands of K-Drama fans out there are relieved that the director lost the bet!
