Actor So Ji Sub Doesn’t Hesitate To Speak Up About Korea’s #MeToo Movement
Actor So Ji Sub has always been a quiet and reserved person who has been passionate about his work for the past 20 years in the industry. However, he did not hesitate to state his opinion about the most cautious movement in recent history, the #MeToo Movement. The only think hesitated about was how he phrased his answer, knowing that every word that came out of his mouth had a high influence on society considering that he’s one of the most famous actors in Korea.
When asked about his view of the #MeToo movement, he expressed his support to the women who had the courage to stand up and speak.
“I support those who courageously spoke out. I think everyone needs to make an effort to make our world a better place. I hope their courageous efforts do not go to waste.”

He spends a great deal of time to become a “good person” that can help the acting industry in a positive way. With so much negative history becoming unearthed about veteran actors, So Ji Sub only hopes he can continue to improve himself to leave a positive impression.
“I continuously think about [how I can become a good actor and person], but there doesn’t seem to be an answer. I think a lot about what makes someone good. I want to become an actor that people want to work with, and an actor who’s projects won’t be disregarded.
I think only a good person can become a good actor. I’m not saying that I’ve never done wrong in my life, and I probably will do wrong in the future too… but I want to become someone that leaves a good impression and a good atmosphere.”
