Actor Jung Hae In Raises Eyebrows For Liking A DM From A Scandalous “Stripping” Streamer
Actor Jung Hae In has sparked a controversy with his response to a scandalous BJ’s (broadcast jockey) DM on Instagram.
Yuhwa (real name Kim Ji Yeon) recently shared a screenshot of her direct message to Jung on Instagram, saying, “I love you.” The actor’s account had “liked” the message, much to Yuhwa’s excitement.
“Jung Hae In liked my DM! A heart! HEART. HAHAHAHEART.”

She also shared a second screenshot showing that she had sent a follow-up message, freaking out over the “like.” Below, it showed that Jung Hae In had seen the message three hours before the screenshot was taken.
Yuhwa: Woowowowow.
The caption: He reads everything! God-Hae In. Holy Hae In. Hallelujah Hae In. Hae In World!
This interaction has sparked an intense debate online, with netizens arguing whether Yuhwa got special attention from Jung Hae In or if he treats all fan messages the same way. Some also wondered if he was aware of who Yuhwa was.
- “But I heard Jung Hae In usually likes everything his fans send. He’s just a “liking machine” on Instagram.”
- “This is the first time he has liked a DM, though, from what I heard.”
- “Oh, it’s real… How did she send him a DM?”
- “I think she can send him a DM without requesting because she’s also a verified account.”
- “She must have been able to send him a DM because she has a blue badge.”
- “I mean, he goes around liking a lot of the fans’ posts.”
- “I checked out her IG. She’s gorgeous. It’s understandable.”
- “So what if he liked a DM from an AfreecaBJ, knowing what kind of content she makes? It’s not a crime. He has all the right to do whatever he wants. He’s literally a 30-something-year-old adult. Some of you really are delusional, thinking the celebrities owe you something. It’s pathetic.”
- “Stop this nonsense. It’s not a big deal. He must have liked it thinking she’s a fan.”
- “Ugh… Kind of a red flag, though. Aren’t we all being too forgiving of male celebrities?”
People also defended Jung Hae In, arguing that it was not a big deal to interact with a BJ since he is also a well-grown adult.
- “What’s wrong with this? Because she’s a stripping BJ?”
- “But why…? This is a bit weird. Is she the only one who ever got a like from Jung Hae In?”
- “Well, a Jung Hae In fansite also got a like.”
- “Yep. That happened right after these screenshots went viral. He went and liked the fansite, too. LOL.”
- “Is this a problem?”
- “Well… I feel like he was maybe liking everyone’s stuff and happened to like hers, too. If his fansite also got a like… I feel like he was just out there giving away likes.”
- “LMAO. He got canceled.”
- “How funny.”
Some, however, expressed their disappointment in the actor.
- “Haha. Of course. All men are the same.”
- “LOL.”
- “He’s just a dude, after all.”
- “Ew.”
- “I knew something was off about him. This is exactly why I never really liked him.”
- “Must be nice being a male celebrity. Seriously.”
- “A disgrace to his family, really.”
It is notable that as a BJ on AfreecaTV, Yuhwa did make stripping content. However, both her AfreecaTV and YouTube channels went dormant around 2021 when her relationship status was made public, and she lost a significant number of followers. She eventually took down all her videos and unofficially retired from the platforms. Yuhwa then started an online clothing store, L’été Bleu, but it has also been shut down. Currently, she seems to be active only on Instagram.
Meanwhile, Jung Hae In is not the first celebrity who has been criticized for their social media interaction with a streamer. Previously, a Korean Olympian also faced backlash over a similar incident. You can read more about it here:
