Actor Kim Soo Hyun “Ignores” Actor Byeon Woo Seok At 2024 Asia Artist Awards—But Fans Relate
If there was one thing that shined brighter than the visuals of all the stars who showed up at the “2024 Asia Artist Awards,” it’s actor Kim Soo Hyun‘s personality. Unafraid to be his most unserious self no matter where he is, the Queen of Tears actor was caught on camera congratulating the air instead of his fellow actor, Byeon Woo Seok, for his win.
When the mega-hit K-Drama Lovely Runner‘s soundtrack, “Sudden Shower” won the “Best OST Award,” the presenter announced that “Eclipse‘s vocalist Ryu Sun Jae” would take the stage to accept the award and give a speech.
For K-Drama fans, especially those who watched Lovely Runner, “Eclipse” and “Ryu Sun Jae” are familiar names—Ryu Sun Jae being the character that Byeon Woo Seok portrayed and Eclipse being Ryu Sun Jae’s band.
But for Kim Soo Hyun, nothing made any sense. Who is Eclipse’s Ryu Sun Jae?!
So while Byeon Woo Seok got up and seemed to expect an interaction with Kim Soo Hyun (as it’s typical for those sitting around the winner to extend a handshake or even go in for a hug to celebrate with the winner), Kim Soo Hyun ended up turning his back in search of the winner and accidentally “ignoring” the actual winner.
