Actor Lee Min Ho’s Upcoming Fanmeeting Ticket Sales Spark A Heated Debate

Actor Lee Min Ho‘s upcoming fanmeeting in Seoul is yet to sell out all the seats, as per sales data.

The actor returned to K-Dramas after a five-year break with the 2025 tvN series When the Stars Gossip. Despite the anticipation surrounding the project, the show has been met with some strong criticism over its content. The final episode, which aired on February 23, KST, even prompted many viewers to dub it a raging disappointment.
Amidst this lukewarm reception of his K-Drama, the actor’s upcoming fanmeeting at the Olympic Hall in Seoul is struggling to sell out all the tickets. The bookings began almost two weeks ago, and so far, only 55% of the 2,500 available seats have reportedly been filled.
As of February 23, KST, the seats on the venue’s first floor and the central part of the second floor have been slow to sell. Some netizens couldn’t help but find it bizarre that for an actor as popular as Lee Min Ho, the fanmeeting seats weren’t filling up fast enough, given that his K-Drama was airing just until recently.

However, many have pointed out that selling out 1,300 seats was already an achievement, more so because Lee was completely absent from the K-Drama scene for five years, and his latest project didn’t do as well as expected. It is a testament to his sheer star power that his fanmeeting tickets have been selling steadily.

- “It’s selling better than expected. The majority of actors can’t sell more than 1000 seats. Even some idols can’t fill the entirety of the Olympic Hall if they hold a concert. So, an actor not filling up the venue for a fanmeeting is not that amusing.”
— “If you think it’s selling better than expected then it means you must have thought Lee Min Ho is otherwise not a popular actor. I kind of agree with that.” - “Hasn’t it already sold around 1300 seats? Isn’t that good? It’s just that the venue is so big. Olympic Hall is huge, you know.”
— “But the second floor is empty…For reference, Kim Soo Hyun filled up 4500 seats.” - “I’ve been hearing that it hasn’t been selling well since yesterday, so I thought it must be empty. But if an actor’s fanmeeting sold out 50%, doesn’t that mean it’s selling well?”
Meanwhile, Lee Min Ho’s Seoul fanmeeting will be held on March 8, 2025. It will mark the start of his MINHOVERSE Asia tour, which also includes stops at Bangkok, Macau, Taipei, Jakarta, Manila, and Tokyo. This is the actor’s first asia tour in eight years.
