Actor Nam Yoon Su has donated one of his kidneys to his father.
According to an exclusive report from SPOTV, actor Nam Yoon Su recently donated one of his kidneys to his father. Back on June 19, Nam Yoon Su underwent an operation to have his kidney removed and transplanted into his father. Thankfully, both Nam Yoon Su and his father recovered quickly and both have since been discharged from the hospital.
Nam Yoon Su halted all of his activities back in the beginning of the year in order to be physically prepared and in good health for the operation. He did not want reveal his donation, but after consultation with the hospital, it was shared in order to spread the word about organ donation.
Nam Yoon Su’s agency explained that his father’s health condition suddenly deteriorated at the start of 2024 and Nam Yoon Su volunteered to donate a kidney to his father. Due to the tests required, he was unable to appear in any K-Dramas or shows since the start of the year.
