Actor Yoo Ah In‘s father, Uhm Young In, has unfortunately passed away following a long battle against a chronic disease. He was 67 years old.
Reports indicate that Uhm Young In had been battling a chronic illness, with his condition deteriorating significantly in recent times. Yoo Ah In — who is reportedly deeply affected by the news — is currently staying by his father’s side at the funeral hall.
The funeral arrangements have been made at the Daegu Catholic University Medical Center. Meanwhile, the burial will take place at Myeongbok Park, with the ceremony scheduled for 9:30 AM on August 9.
In the past Yoo has revealed he hasn’t always had the best relationship with his father. He confessed to being a “mommy’s boy” and always siding with his mother.
The actor touched the public’s hearts when he then expressed regret about not being closer to his father, acknowledging his silent struggles and sacrifices. He shared that when he told his father he loved him — a first for him as an adult — he found it both moving and embarrassing.
