53-Year-Old Actress Finally Addresses Her Longest-Standing “Cougar” Rumor
In the latest vlog updated to her YouTube channel, actress Go Hyun Jung finally addressed her longest-standing rumor about her “cougar” status.
After her divorce from the Korean conglomerate Jung Yong Jin, Go returned to acting with the 2005 K-Drama Spring Day. Since then, starting with her Spring Day co-star Jo In Sung, Go has found herself in multiple dating rumors, all surrounding younger actors.
One rumor after another, Go had become somewhat known as a cougar—an informal slang term for an older woman who seeks romantic or sexual relationships with younger men—or in Korean, a “연하킬러” (a “young men killer”).
While Go has never really taken the time to address this rumor in the past, she commented on it in her latest vlog when she was asked about “the most nonsensical rumor about herself.”
Producer: Can I ask you one more question? If you don’t want to answer it or… if you don’t want us to include it in the video, we won’t. But of all the rumors that you’ve heard about yourself, which one is the most nonsensical one?
Go Hyun Jung: The cougar one. The one about me going around dating all the young actors or whatever? Like, that makes no sense at all.
