Fans Flood Actress Han Ye Seul’s Instagram With Praise After The Latest Update Captures Scar From A Horrific 2018 Incident
In the latest Instagram update, actress Han Ye Seul shared some hot girl summer pictures taken beachside. In one of the pictures, she is seen wearing a white tank top—which revealed a glimpse of the scar left behind from a surgical malpractice incident she previously suffered.
Back in April 2018, Han Ye Seul underwent a lipoma removal procedure and ended up with an irreversible wound on the left side of her upper body, below the armpit. In an exclusive interview, the doctor who was in charge of the surgery admitted fault—and later, as confirmed by the actress herself, she received ₩100 million KRW (about $87,200 USD) in compensation from CHA Medical Center.
I admitted my fault as soon as the surgery was over. I explained it to Han Ye Seul’s guardian, a woman, who was there. I also explained to Han Ye Seul herself that this had happened. She asked to have a picture of the wound taken, so my staff took it for her, which she later uploaded to her Instagram. Again, I’m sorry to have caused this to an actress who is so widely beloved. I would also like to apologize to Han Ye Seul again for putting her through this.

While Han Ye Seul has previously shared pictures of her scar concealed with nude-colored patches, this is the first time her fans are seeing the scar exposed. Previously, Han Ye Seul commented, “I’m receiving treatments everyday [for the wound] but my heart continues to break.”
