Actress And Wife To “Burning Sun” Criminal Shares Unexpected Update On Her Marriage
Back in March 2021, Yoo In Seok—the former CEO of Yuri Holdings and husband to actress Park Han Byul—dropped his appeal and was sentenced to probation after he admitted to charges of arranging prostitution and embezzlement of business funds as a central figure in the notorious “Burning Sun” scandal.

Then, in an unexpected update shared on November 11, 2024 (KST), the actress revealed that her marriage to the criminal has not ended.
In a new video posted on her YouTube channel, Park sat down with her long-time friend and comedian Hong In Kyu to discuss her “controversies.” Park herself brought up the topic of her husband, asking Hong if there were unanswered questions that he would like cleared up.
When Hong asked if she and her husband are still on good terms, Park reassured Hong that the two are doing well and that she’s “watching him.”
Park Han Byul: Is there anything you’d like me to answer about my husband’s scandal? Something you haven’t been able to ask?
Hong In Kyu: Oh, wow. Can I really ask? For me, it’s important that you two are on good terms. Are you two doing OK?
Park Han Byul: That’s what you’ve been wanting to ask but couldn’t?
Hong In Kyu: Yeah… I was worried that you two might split up. But, thankfully, you two pulled through.
Park Han Byul: Yeah, you already know the answer.
Hong In Kyu: I figured you two have worked things out. You’re a smart woman.
Park Han Byul: (Gestures) I’m watching him, so…
This is not the first time Park’s apparent support for her husband has been publicized. During the arrest warrant evaluation, Park submitted a 3-page long handwritten letter appealing for her husband, giving her word as that he would “faithfully comply with his investigations without detention.”

Park has turned off the comments for the video, assumed to be a protective measure for the possible backlash aimed at her and/or her husband following the update.
