Actress Park Min Young Apologizes To Fans For Her Dating Scandal
Actress Park Min Young has made her comeback in the K-Drama world after a whole year with the new show Marry My Husband, which premiered on January 1, 2024. While the start of this new year seems promising for her, the actress faced quite a turmoil in the past year and a half due to a dating scandal with a controversial individual.
In September 2022, Dispatch released an exposé on Park Min Young’s relationship with controversial businessman Kang Jong Hyun. After the article’s release, the couple announced that they had broken up. Kang Jong Hyun was arrested on February 2 on charges of fraud, embezzlement, and stock market manipulation.
In February 2023, when Kang was being investigated for his alleged crimes, Park Min Young also got pulled into the chaos. Prosecutors reportedly investigated the actress on suspicions of involvement with Kang’s crimes.
On January 1, a press conference for Marry My Husband was held online with the show’s director and the main cast in attendance. During the event, Park Min Young addressed the controversy, saying that it gave her such a hard time that she doubted if she could work in the drama.
Honestly, this past year, my body, health, and mind all suffered. So, I was wondering if I could take on this project when the director called me.

Park Min Young mentioned that she “lived with regret every day” during that brief crisis period, so much so that while undergoing a brain activity test at the psychiatrist, she hit the dangerous level where the red warning signal was set off.
Reflecting on her past, the actress said that the hard times made her realize where her real happiness lies, which is acting,

Finally, Park concluded her statement apologizing, with a promise to present a better version of herself that she could be proud of in the future.

I wish I had done this sooner, but now that I’m in better health, I sincerely apologize to those who loved and cherished me…I’ve always tried to become an actor you can be proud of for 20 years, but I have many regrets now. I’m making an effort to be better, so please watch over me.
