Actress Park Shin Hye Says No To Starving Diets

She shared her much healthier approach.

In a recent YouTube video, actress Park Shin Hye shared that she avoids the infamous starvation diets that many in the entertainment industry follow for quick weight loss.

On April 1, KST, Park appeared on Allure Korea’s YouTube channel where she talked about her lifestyle, work routine, and fitness regiment. Park, who is on her 22nd year of acting career, has established a routine of relaxing whenever she is not working on a project and then getting back to a working out a lot when she starts filming again.

Her fitness training includes running around the park near her house, or working out at the gym for about two hours every day.

The actress then mentioned that she preferred working out hard instead of restricting her food intake. “I try to watch what I eat, but since I love eating, it’s not easy,” she confessed. Instead of eating less, Park shared that she follows an even stricter workout routine when she is filming a project. It includes one hour of cardio on an empty stomach in the morning, and personal training in the evening for another hour. “I work out at least three hours a day,” she added.

Park then talked about her diet, emphasizing that she never starves herself while dieting. She explained, “It’s really bad on your skin tissue and also skin elasticity.” Quite contrary to the popular “starvation diets,” her meals always include protein and vegetables.

As one of the top actresses in Korea, Park Shin Hye is surely creating a good influence on her audience by promoting such a healthy relationship with food and exercise, especially given how restrictive diets have always been the more popular topic in such circles.
