What Actor Kim Woo Bin Thought About His Actress Girlfriend Shin Min Ah’s Latest Rom-Com
Even before tvN‘s No Gain No Love, actress Shin Min Ah has long been trusted among K-Drama fans as a solid lead actress who can pull a show to success. But her latest role as Son Hae Young—a woman who finds true love out of a fake marriage held for-profit—cemented her status as the hailing rom-com queen of our time.
In No Gain No Love, Shin boasted incredible chemistry with her co-star, actor Kim Young Dae—convincing the viewers despite her 9-year public relationship with actor Kim Woo Bin.
Through an interview celebrating the successful run of No Gain No Love, Shin revealed what Kim Woo Bin thought about the rom-com, as well as what she thought about the ongoing attention on their relationship.
According to Shin, Kim Woo Bin did watch No Gain No Love and “liked it.” As for the public interest in her relationship with him, she said she doesn’t “feel uncomfortable talking about him or the relationship itself,” but she tries to refrain because she doesn’t want it to affect work for either of them—as well as the viewers’ connection with the work.
To be honest, I don’t feel uncomfortable about the topic itself, but I do get worried that it might affect what each of us is doing. For example, No Gain No Love was a rom-com and there were viewers supporting the main couple in the show. So I would refrain from talking about [my real-life relationship] out of respect for my co-star.
