Former ADOR CEO Min Hee Jin Attacks Claims Of Brainwashing And Gaslighting NewJeans

On Friday, September 27, former ADOR CEO Min Hee Jin was a speaker at the Hyundai Card Davinci Motel, where she spoke about the ongoing feud between her and HYBE. In addition to speaking about the cost of the legal battle, she also addressed claims that she gaslit or brainwashed the members of NewJeans.
NewJeans have remained firm in supporting the CEO as netizens questioned the relationship between the group and the CEO. This has led to criticism of the group and Min Hee Jin.

Min Hee Jin addressed the gaslighting claims directly, mentioning that the news had accused of her such. She said that instead, she wanted NewJeans to be smart which is why she has always been honest with them, mentioning how the industry works.
They say I gaslighted NewJeans, but I want my kids to be smart, so I’m always honest with them. I tell them how to do their work well, how this industry operates. I tell them as closely to the truth as possible because I don’t want them to be shocked later. They need to learn about the world, but in a way that softens the blow. This industry isn’t a beautiful one. Ignorance isn’t bliss in this case. You need to know a bit to build resilience.

She said that her actions are done to protect the innocence of NewJeans, and keep them as the group that she envisioned.
Another friend said, ‘You’re like a mom who sends her kids to an alternative school.’ It feels like I’ve sent my kids to an alternative school. As this innocence ages, inevitably, it will get tainted. I want to shield them from it for as long as I can. […] The kids don’t even know how much they’re earning. Once they start realizing, it’s hard for them to live a normal life. If they get too used to it and take it for granted, it creates resentment. When they lose a sense of reality, they will drift away from the team I envision.
