ADOR Min Hee Jin Talks About Plans With NewJeans For After Their Contracts End
ADOR CEO Min Hee Jin held a press conference on May 31, 2024. She discussed the feud, as well as her willingness to reconcile with HYBE. During the press conference, many were curious about her future vision with NewJeans. Although it was previously accused that she was trying to bring NewJeans out of HYBE, Min spilled the beans on her true plans for the group after their contracts with HYBE end.
NewJeans’ contract is worth 7 years. She acknowledges that they started out young, and hopes that they make plans for their own happiness after their contracts are over.
“They’re young kids who entered the company without knowing a single thing. They came in without knowing how the system in the entertainment industry works. Just what could these kids have known as they came in? I thought the most important thing would be how to teach them and how I could lead them. I always say this to them too, but I tell them to study during their contract period. I tell them to study something that will be useful for them to earn a living after these 7 years. Just how long can they stay with me? I wanted to help them gain freedom of choice after these years. I need to educate them on how they can become independent and earn their own keep. Otherwise, how will kids live after their mom, who has been feeding them all this while, disappears? They could become cool artists, or they could want to get married or study overseas after these 7 years. I hope they live the life they want to.”
