Aespa’s Choreographer Confirms She Changed An “Armageddon” Dance Move All Because Of Karina
Aespa‘s latest release was “Armageddon,” a fierce comeback song accompanied by an energetic choreography.
The choreographer of “Armageddon,” Renan, recently revealed that it was not as intense of a dance when she originally made it. She told former After School member UEE that one move changed all because of Karina.
Actually, I didn’t choreograph this part to be as strong as it is now, but as we were doing the dance lessons with them, Karina danced this part really powerfully.

Upon observing Karina’s interpretation of the moves, Renan realized that her version looked better than the original.
When I saw her, I was like ‘Oh, that is cool. I have to do it like that too then.’
— Renan
This surprised UEE who asked, “Doesn’t that mean that the changed dance is because of Karina?” The choreographer replied in the affirmative, confirming that Karina was the sole reason the “Armaggedon” dance looks the way it does now.
UEE: So doesn’t that mean that the changed dance is because of Karina?
Renan: That’s right! Originally, I danced it gently. Karina did this part so powerfully, too.
UEE remembered that Karina was especially good at the popping movement for the lyrics “Imma get it done.” Renan agreed, saying, “Her strength is really amazing.”
Karina never disappoints!
