Aespa’s Teasers For Their Upcoming Concert Are Gaining Mixed Reactions From Netizens

“At least their visuals are still high quality…”

Since debuting, aespa has constantly gained attention for not only the members’ talent and visuals but their innovative concept.

From the minute they debuted and every comeback concept, the group has been praised for their phenomenal and high-quality teasers. With each comeback, they have gone above and beyond, setting new limits to what K-Pop can achieve.

 

 

Yet, it seems like that initial burst of technology and high-quality teasers might have taken a back seat, and netizens aren’t oblivious to the changes.

On February 6, SM Entertainment started releasing the teasers for aespa’s upcoming SYNK : HYPER LINE concert that is happening at the end of the month. Each day, a new member’s video teaser appeared, and while the first was seemingly just a background teaser…

The Twitter account then shared the videos for Giselle and Winter on February 7.

It was then followed by an image of all four members in their teasers, along with a link to a news article about the concert.

Although fans were happy that aespa was going to do a concert, despite their anger at a lack of music and promotions for the group, netizens couldn’t help but laugh at the quality of the teasers for the members.

Considering the previous quality and standard of the group’s material, it wasn’t surprising that fans were confused about whether SM had lost their budget for aespa. For many, the concert teasers seemed cheap and something from the early 2000s when technology was first being used, with some seeing the blatant use of a green screen.

Yet, many fans pointed out that it was only a bit of fun and that the concert was already sold out, so many MYs didn’t care about the more fun and less serious teasers for the concert.

Of course, dedicated fans of the group understand that aespa can prove themselves without the need for fancy effects and CGI all of the time. Yet, considering the talent of the members and the lack of promotions, it isn’t surprising that some want more from SM Entertainment to give the girls what they deserve.
