aespa Creates K-Pop History With Their Latest Concerts
The K-Pop girl group aespa has created history with their recent concerts in Japan.
On August 17 and 18, the girl group held two concerts as a part of their 2024 aespa Live Tour – SYNK: PARALLEL LINE world tour. These two shows were a part of the special edition of the tour and took place at the famous Tokyo Dome.
With these two concerts, aespa has now become the only foreign female act and the only K-Pop act to ever perform at the Tokyo Dome for two consecutive years! The group previously completed an arena tour across four Japanese cities —Fukuoka, Nagoya, Saitama, and Osaka— performing a total of nine shows. All the shows were sold out and drew a cumulative crowd of 100,000.
The special edition Tokyo Dome concerts were sold out shortly after tickets went on sale. Due to high demand, the restricted-view seats had to be opened for booking as well. These two shows saw a total footfall of 94,000 fans.
During the concert, the members expressed their gratitude for bagging this unique achievement and thanked fans for their continuous support.
Being able to perform at the Tokyo Dome again this year, just like last year, is all thanks to you. We’re deeply moved that so many people have gathered in one place to listen to our music and watch our performance. We prepared for this show with all our efforts, so we hope you had a great time. We will continue to show our best efforts, so please stay with us.
