Aespa’s Karina Breaks IVE Jang Wonyoung’s Record, Earning A New Title
Aespa‘s Karina is undoubtedly one of the 4th generation’s most popular “it girls.” Her gorgeous visuals and talent help to make her the full package, able to convince anyone to be her fan.
An ‘it girl” is so engaging and enchanting they cannot help but attract attention. This has been proven through Karina’s multiple brand deals — Givenchy with the other members of aespa, Converse Korea, and being the face of YSL Beauty‘s Rouge Pur Couture on her own.
This year, she has already hit more than one milestone, including her first solo appearance at Milan Fashion Week and hitting ten million followers on her Instagram account.
Karina recently broke the record of another K-Pop it girl, IVE‘s Jang Wonyoung!
Among K-Pop’s 4th generation idols, several have passed the ten million followers mark. TXT’s Yeonjun and Stray Kids’ Felix are the most followed 4th-gen idols overall, with 17.3 million and 11.8 million followers, respectively.
Wonyoung also joined this club and was ranked third overall but first among female idols.
Not long ago, Karina’s follower count edged past Wonyoung’s 11.4 million and currently sits at 11.6 million. This makes Karina the most followed 4th generation female idol and record holder for the title!
Fans celebrated the accomplishment when it happened and think she is on her way to passing second place!
