aespa’s Karina Shares Her Backup Career Plan Had She Not Become An Idol
aespa member Karina is often considered an all-rounder idol for her multi-faceted talent in singing, dancing, and stage presence. But even for such a perfect idol, K-Pop was not always the first priority!
Karina appeared as a special guest on the latest episode of Hyeri‘s YouTube show, Hyel’s Club, and showed off her candid chemistry with the senior idol.
During a special segment of the episode, Hyeri asked her some fan-sent questions, one of which was about Karina’s backup career plan if she had not become an idol.
In response, the aespa singer revealed that she was originally planning to become a flight attendant and even prepared for the job, leaving Hyeri shocked. Karina shared that she even went to a Chinese language school as a part of this preparation process.
When Hyeri asked if she was fluent in Chinese, Karina replied that she used to be good at it, but now she has fallen out of touch with it to the point where she only understands the language. However, the two then proceeded to have a brief conversation in Mandarin, and Karina’s training seemed to kick in pretty quickly. She then revealed that she had started learning the language when she was in kindergarten!
