aespa’s Karina Updates Fans About Her Health After Sitting Out More Shows
aespa member Karina is sitting out more performances due to her poor health.
Previously, Karina had sparked concerns after fans spotted bandages on her body during the day 1 Osaka show of aespa’s SYNK: PARALLEL LINE tour. The placement of the bandage implied that she had probably gotten a drip to get over her exhaustion.
But the singer had to miss the day two concert in Osaka on July 28. SM Entertainment shared that the decision was taken following a doctor’s diagnosis. The label later posted a new notice informing fans that Karina was yet to fully recover and would be sitting out both the Fukoka shows, held on July 30 and July 31.

We would like to inform you that aespa’s Karina will not be participating in the “2024 aespa LIVE TOUR – SYNK : PARALLEL LINE – in JAPAN” held at Marine Messe Fukuoka Hall B on July 30 (Tuesday) and 31 (Wednesday).
Karina did not participate in the Osaka performance on the 28th due to health issues, and as she has not yet fully recovered, she requires rest and recovery based on medical advice. After much consideration, it has been decided that she will inevitably not participate in the Fukuoka performance either. We ask for your understanding.
Therefore, the Marine Messe Fukuoka Hall B performance will be conducted with GISELLE, WINTER, and NINGNING, and Karina will not participate in the Meet & Greet of the CD sales space lottery benefits as well.

On July 30, Karina wrote to fans, updating them about her condition and apologizing for making them worry.
“I’m feeling much better now. I’m sorry for making you worry. [I don’t want to keep having to apologize], but I know how worried you must have been. I even got an injection! I just woke up from sleep and I miss you. Thank you for always waiting for me.”

Fans, on the other hand, are relieved that she was allowed the time to recuperate instead of forcing herself to perform in this condition. Previously, they had complained about SM Entertainment neglecting the aespa member’s health in planning the current tour.
