SHINee “Saves” aespa’s Winter From Sasaengs Ruining Her Live Broadcast
When in trouble, who else would be more dependable than a long-time sunbae-nim to the rescue? For aespa‘s Karina and Winter, it was fellow SM Entertainment idol group SHINee that pulled through at the right time.
During a Weverse live broadcast, Winter began receiving harassing phone calls from sasaengs. A bit flustered, Winter asked Karina if she could turn on the “airplane mode” and still continue holding the live broadcast.
That, Karina wasn’t sure about…
Winter: Is it the “airplane mode?”
Karina: I heard it has to be the “Do Not Disturb” mode.
Winter: I thought airplane mode also works…
…but she was 100% sure about what she wanted to tell the sasaengs.
While Winter continued debating the airplane mode, SHINee’s “Don’t Call Me” started blasting in the background—making Winter laugh. Soon enough, Winter started vibing with the music, reminding the sasaengs not to call.
Sasaeng keeps calling Winter so she asked Karina if she can turn on airplane mode while doing live but they’re not sure so Karina playing Don’t Call Me by Shinee.
